My Computer

Default Wo0p!

Hey all, good news, i've just received my new memory

I'm now OFFICIALLY Dual Channel *Smirks*

The difference is rather extreme, my 6600GT was obviously being bottlenecked some what with Single Channel as i'm receiving much much better Quality in games, i mean the difference is astounding.. but with no drop in performance - Which will help my folding as well

Anyway, im gonna push my cpu back to 2.5Ghz again when i get time, and hopefully perhaps further who knows

Then i'll come back and fold

New stuff:
512MB (2x256MB) GeIL Ultra PC4400 CAS2.5
Sony Cybershot T-33 (Black)

and.. off subject; my new Sony Cybershot T-33 is just amazing, the quality and design of it picture and physically is just astounding.. 5.1 working Mega Pixels

My Computer

Ok well, i've been unindated with problems with my computer:

When turning my pc on.. it works fine.. however if i reboot (safely or hard) i get a black screen with a mesh like effect of white noise over my monitor.. however i can still see my mouse cursor..

I've checked the grphx card, and its not my card as i can run all benchmarks / games everything i have done before with no difference as it was before the problem..

All my Voltages rails are fine, so its not that, my CPU is fine as ive Prime95 for 22 hours now, i've SuperPI the 32MB no problems, i've done memtest and its not my new memory.

I think it's my monitor.. when i turn the monitor off it takes about 5 or 6 switches of the power "ON" button on my LCD to turn the thing on.. then everythings ok until i do some form of reboot.

Windows XP is just being incredibly incredibly horrible to me, it won't allow me to install any USB devices succesfully at all now..

So i'm left with 3 conclusions:
1. Windows is corrupt and needs a format (which i think i've known for a while now)
2. My motherboard is shot already : \
3. My LCD monitor has loose connections somewhere and is not making the connectivity that it needs - subsequently resulting in the white noise.

Either way im going to get down to the problem.

If any of u have any ideas at all, please post.
