WoW 3.0 Patch

I'm downloading the 3.0 patch for World of Warcraft, and I'm on an 8 meg cable connection, everything else loads just fine but this update is going at about 25kbps, and will take about 25 hours to complete. Is there anything I can do to get around this?

As will be with future patches, turn on your patch install in the background so that some of the content loads when you log out each night. It will speed up by reducing the amount of info needed on patch day. Something that most folks don't realize is this is the number one played game in the WORLD and patch day is patch day, you are sharing the download with 15 million other people.
