Hi im on virgin broadband i think 2mb or 4mb i can't remmember.

What the problem is my internet constantly drops and i have to constantly unplug the modem at the wall and restart the pc to regain the connection.

It constantly happens when downlloading! like utorrent, youtube buffering and even myspace anything really!

i go on the event viewer on system and it says

    Symbolic Name: EVENT_TCPIP_TCP_CONNECT_LIMIT_REACHED

Message: TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent (incomplete) TCP connect attempts.

^^ so then i changed the number of connection attemps to 10 using a program and it still happens so i changed to 50, 100 and even a 1000 and still happens so i don't think it is that!

Can anyone help this has been going on for years! ive rang up virgin media and they said that there end is fine and its something to do with my end but what could it be??????

pointless using the pc becasue i cant download and even web browse most of the time!

Any help would be highly appresiated!

    thanks

It is a new security measure in XP Sp2. You can install a patch to resolve it from here.
