In my netowrking class at school the teacher has anti-exectuable (made by faronics) on all the computers and it is very annoying to my peers and I. I cant seem to find anywhere online about this. Does anyone know how to get around it???
Can you open them via something else - Back at high scool I used to open .exe's through Internet explorer
How did you run them through IE? Do you mean you typed the address of the exe in the address bar? Sorry to say I don't know how you could go about running EXEs, but we can run them at our school, and if you do get it working then I suggest you look into using thinstall. Basically it compiles all your programs files (dlls, audio etc) into one exe, so we can play games such as Half Life, Age of Empires, even Far Cry! Sorry! Thomas
Nope we just did file>open then browsed to our file (usually worms) and it would open it up fine. Mind you this was back at high school so 7 maybe 8 years ago... and knowing how quick M$ are to patch things they might have just sorted it
Wait a second surely an anti-exe program would disable use of any programs all together? Unless there is a 'safe' list? i.e. they have told them that 'msword.exe' is safe to run? Try renaming your .exe to explorer.exe or msword.exe, see if you have any luck
yeah there is a safe list or something cus he has office and other programs intsalled..... i'll try renaming my stuff tomorrow... hopefully that works
