My keyboard is really messed up. Keys are switched or not working at all. I downloaded KeyTweak and have come to find out that some of the scancodes are wrong. For instance, the "n" key should have a scancode of 51 but it scans as 7. So when I press the "n" key it types the number 6. Anybody know how I can fix this????
Spilled water on it lately? Has this only just started happening? - if not then check your system locality and keyboard settings are correct for your local and layout
what about the regional settings in control panel (assuming you use windows) - might be that you accidentially changed the keyboard layout with a shortcut (for exapmle when cleaning the vodka off).
was your friend playing Stalker at the time he spilt it, trying to keep radeation at bay. Maybe a new keyboard might be the easyiest option.
Yup thats definitely the issue, water can cross the connections between the points on the membranes, you can try drying them out but it doesn't always work. (i've fixed 3 out of 5 spillages on keyboards)
I would replace the keyboard if it wasn't a laptop!! lol <sigh> i guess i'm gonna hafta take it somewhere to get cleaned cause i don't have the time to take it all apart and clean every nook and cranny in there. Thanks for all the help!!
What happen is that your KB is drunk and its messing up the keys!!! ...just leave it alone and give it two aspirins..... Now seriously, you better take it fast to some place to dry it, that liquid inside could not only fry your KB, but the whole notebook too if you keep powering on. PM sent to you... Good Luck
