I have a legit copy of XP Pro on my current system, I am upgrading to an AMD X2 64 bit chip, will I be able to reinstall my current Windows, or will I have to buy another copy (64 bit).

Sorry if the question is stupid, I was always told the only stupid question was the unasked.

    Sak.

    Welcome to HWF :)

Windows XP can be installed on 64-bit systems without any problems. You only need the 64-bit version of XP if you use more than 3.5 GB of RAM (and want to use all of it).
