AMD Phenom Triple-Core

    Hi, I have an AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz and I would like to know if I could overclock it with the stock heatsink.
    And alaso if someone could explain to me how to overclock it then I would be very thankfull.:)

    Could you overclock it? Maybe a little bit. It would be better to get a better heatsink though.

    As for overclocking you want to turn up the front side bus. Even if you can't get it stable to at the default multiplier that's ok, turn the multiplier down a bit. A higher FSB is better than a high multiplier.

    I agree with Dartht33bagger becuase if your going to overclock the CPU on a stock cooler you might find the temps a little on the hot side but i honestly dont think you will fry it, but to be safe i suggest get a better cooler like: Akasa AK-876 CPU Cooler Socket AM2 or even better Sunbeam (Socket AM2) Depending on budget offcourse, there are many to choose from.
