    Hi, first post here :)
anywayz, i just got a new computer
    Specs:
    core i7 920 @ 2.66Ghz
    6gb ddr3 @ 815mhz
    inno3d gtx 260 896mb
    toughpower 650w thermaltake
    1tb seagate @ 7200rpm
    Samsung blu-ray read/write combo

my question is, why is there still 30% ram usage when i now have 6gb of ram? (not that its a problem, all games run fine and everything)
but just out of curiosity, shouldnt the usage be alot lower?

    Welcome to HWF :)

I assume you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7. Right-Click Computer, and choose Properties. In the properties window, does it show "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-Bit Operating System"?

I also have 6 GB of RAM and running Vista in a dual-boot. I'm having the same RAM usage. Windows Vista and 7 reserve a certain percentage of RAM to run the system processes, so the OS can never run out of RAM that quick. As long as stays below 50-60%, it should be okay.

    Sure, no problem :)
If the RAM usage would be too high, or you receive an error message about Page File Swapping, feel free to ask for more help :)
