I broke the sliding door on my Dvd rom ,I also have a Pioneer Dvr- 105 in my computer ,So I thought I would update my old writer and use the old one as a dvd rom.
    I purchased a Pioneer DVR-111D 16x Dual Layer DVD±RW DVR111 .
I have removed the broken dvd rom , and replaced it with my original Pioneer Dvr- 105
and put the DVR-111D in the 105 slot .
now when I try to write a disc with Nero it only show the original 105 .
Can some kind sole tell me what to do so that I can burn with the DVR-111D !
Hope you understand what I am going on about !
    Thanks in advance Stu ....

well thats a relief i thought i'd made a complete fool out of myself :chk:

to check if windows 'sees' your new drive double click on "my computer" and see if you have the drive in there (there should be two DVD-RW) or wotever you have -or- answer this: does your drive appear to be working on everything else ?

oh dear try updating your firmware from Software Downloads - Pioneer UK

failing that do a complete uninstall of nero, then reinstall it

See what shows up in Device Manager

    Right-click on 'My Computer'
    Click on 'Properties'
    Go to the Hardware tab
    Select Device Manager
    Expand CD/DVD drives
