Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have an internal hard disk from a desktop PC which I don’t have anymore. It’s an 80GB IDE hard disk which is packed full with music and documents and that. My question is, is there a device or dock that I could get to put my hard drive into in which I could then transfer all my data to my laptop? I know I could install it into another desktop and burn my data to DVDs but all my friends have laptops. All ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks a million!
Ive never tried one but theres these things everywhere...... eBay.co.uk: New USB 2.0 to IDE Adapter for HDD CD-ROM DVD DRIVE UK (item 290063195599 end time 27-Dec-06 09:54:48 GMT)
YEP that'll definitely wrk as ive gt 1. i gt mine a long time ago for 30pounds and its slightly different but this shud definitely work
What zues mentioned will work ok but ideally, you'd be looking for a enclosure. This way, it's safe from most things a non-enclosed drive is. Something like This would be fine.
i think he wants it for temorary purposes as he's jus gonna bak up his data so the suggestion was fine but i think this is better. coa if he doesnt want to use the enclosure he can still use the back ide/power plug. get it quick though
