CPU help

    Hi just wondering which cpu to go for if I intend to us emy pc for gaming and music etc:
    2.4 GHz, 1066MHz FSB, Conroe Core, 4MB £200

    or

    PreslerCore, 2x3.4 GHz, 2MB x 2 Cache £100

    could anyone please tell me which is better and why. thanks

    The conroe is the better cpu, the price might have given that away.

    The conroe is simply the next generation cpu whereas the presler is based on the netburst (pentium 4 basically) Its old technology! :)
