SATA Hard Drive and Windows XP Pro

    Hi

    I just installed a 300GB SATA hard drive into my machine. Now I get an annoying "safely remove hardware" icon on my task bar and I cannot seem to get rid of it. Is there any way to get rid of this?

    right-click the notification area, and select Properties. Under the Notification area heading, click Customize. Find the Safely Remove Hardware icon and select Always hide in the Behavior column next to it (press OK and Apply to back out).
