    I have a laptop with

    2.00 GHz
    Core 2 Duo
    667 MHz

1 GB dual channel 533 MHz RAM

    ATI Mobility X1400 128 MB on-board, 256-turbo cache

Well that is the processing part of the laptop, I was wondering I could not go as high as I expected on games, and well would it be the graphics card or the RAM, when I take the resolution up it lags?

I am almost certain it not the CPU

    RAM or GPU?

    Mainly , BF2 ,Far Cry , FEAR

It's the graphics card that's holding you bac most, I have a Mobility X1400 too and they're not great, I think they only have something like 4-pixel pipes or something like that...

You probably won't see a great boost in games, I only have a Core Duo (not a Core 2 Duo) and I have 2GB of RAM, I don't get great performance in games, it's really the GPU that's holding you back the most.
