Yep! Killed another linux install. No, I am not proud! More like feeling quite stupid. But hey.... that's life.

AAAnyways, after haveing a quick peek at 'Distro Watch' , I came across 'DreamLinux' which is based partly on Debian. It uses Xfce4.4 WM. I installed it on my M300 which did not cope very well. So I might just try it on my main rig. Once installed you can actualy choose to impliment Beryl and AIGLX. It looks quite polished.....

    Should be interesting.....

Any input or past experiences are gratefully welcomed...

What did you do to break the system?

yeah, i've tried Dream, but i couldn't configure bootloader, even after i threw Kubuntu at a few other partitions but it was still unbootable

i installed it cos it looked good in VMware[ot]so Dream turned into a nightmare[/ot]

I have to say I had no problem but then again it was on it's own so there was not much to configure. I will probably play around with the live CD and see. If it works well and does what it needs to do, I will give it a go....
