about Ubuntu

    just curious, but why do you guys choose Ubuntu over everything else.

    It's not perfect, but its user friendly and has good support.

    right, well i forgot to add why do you use Ubuntu over other distros, or is it the same reason/

    I prefer Kubuntu, Looks much nicer in my opinion.

    thats why a lot of people prefer KDE to Gnome[ot]Kubuntu is Ubuntu with KDE and not Gnome[/ot]

    Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu is based on Debian Linux. I prefer Debian, since it's users are typically more experienced, and the software is faster and more reliable. However, Debian is not as noob-friendly, so it has not had the influx of new users that Ubuntu has. But, I believe that Debian is technologically superior. So if non-graphical installers don't scare you, Debian "Etch" or "Sid" might be better for you.
