Video Calling Software

    Im trying to find a small and simple program which will allow me to speak to and see someone on another PC.

    Im new to all this sort of thing and immediately went to Skype but it looks like one of those programs with a million buttons and flashing lights which I will never use.

    The simpler the better! Both my sister and mum need to use this. I swear to god I still have to tell them how to record one tv channel and watch another. All these contact lists and phone features, toolbars etc. If I could rid the world of three things....

    Ill have a play with windows live messenger. Is it the one that comes installed with windows xp? Or is that something different?

    No, You get Windows Messenger pre installed with XP. It is an upgraded version, and works very well.

    Ditto! Windows Messenger Live is an upgrade version of MSN Messenger.. But I am not sure if you can do calls with the Old messenger which comes inbuild Windows XP :unsure:

    Skype is as easy as Messenger if not easier. One button to click to call and one button to start a chat. It is in many ways simillar but if you ever decided to use Skype instead of your phone, Messenger can't do that....

    I would recommend to give Skype a go.... I prefer it.
