startup

    hi
    i was wondering how you control what opens on startup? as i have things i do not want, but others i would like to startup?
    any help

    For XP & Win2003:

    Drag & drop the program shotcuts you want to Start->All Programs-> Startup

    OR

    Run -> MSCONFIG. you will see win.ini, boot.ini & startup. check/uncheck the boxes.

    when i used XP i used StartupCPL it is v v good:good:, it has a different tab for each location in the registry that is auto launches programs at start up

    Drag and Drop can stuck your system if there is another application(s) running. I agreed with donkey42, use the startup control panel.
