Ive noticed that theyve released a 320mb version of the 8800 GTS just wondering if it will perform alot worse than the 620mb version. any ideas?

well i haven't checked the other specs, but if it has the same clock speeds and pixel processors than it shouldn't perform much worse if at all.

    GeForce 8800

See that page, gives a side-by-side comparison or the GTS and GTX

The 320MB Version of the GTS appears to have the same specs as the 640MB Version of the GTS.

So the rest of the cards are the same, just one has increased memory. If a game requires a lot of it then the 640MB version will be better, the 320MB version won't be a slouch though.

For now you really won't need a 640mb version. No game is going to hog that much memory. But with DX 10 stuff there will eventually be a distinct advantage when playing at high res with the texture options maxed etc.
