Hello, it really slows me work down as I'm opening DOC files and re-saving them as per the title of the document, but before fully opening it says "Requesting Virus Scan" and it wastes about 3 seconds of time per file and I have trillians to do. I've disabled me BT ("Norton Protection Centre") but it still insists on doin it, I canny find anything in Word 2000 options. Any help much appreciated thaniks
You can change that at the settings screen of Norton AntiVirus. Look there for Scan office Documents, and disable it.
