Hi, I bought a laptop that has windows vista, Me thinking its better, I want to down load Windows Live Messenger which has let me do but when i go into it it says windows live messenger stopped! does any one know why?? Is it because its windows vista?? please help i wanna chat to all my lovely friends Thanks Leanne x
It is a bug in Vista, caused by the DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Solution: Go to Start > Run (windows key+R), then enter bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff. Click on OK and then reboot.
