Just recently the small fan built onto my gfx card (geforce fx 5500) began to sound alot louder than usual, i took a look at it and its also going alot slower.

Running a game, it is about 50C and is very hot to touch. Is it OK to run the computer in this state? The whole card seems to be pretty hot and i dont want to damage it.

Can you buy the fan motors on there own, so i can replace it with a working one?

For a high-end graphics card, 50 degrees celcius is a normal temperature. As long as there is no dust between the card and the cooler, then everything is fine.
