All right, this has been a problem for so long. My PC is known to suddenly crash in many times. The timing is usually random, so I can never predict it. So it's either suddenly the screen turning black and I can't even do anything about it, or the screen freezes. But when my bro took it away to his friend's house, he said even though he turned it on for 24 hours nonstop, it doesn't crash. What could be the problem? 1. There are some problems in the electric source? 2. One of my hardware components is malfunctioning? 3. My computer is infected with virus/malware/spyware, etc? 4. Heat problems? Thank you for your attention.
I guess Heat Problems....Next time if it crashes or Hangs, jst restart it and have a look on the Temperatures in the BIOS......Also Check the Event Viewer(RightClick MyComputer > Manage > Events) and see wat type of errors u getting over there.. Double click on the error for more information.
No. The problem only arises when the computer is in my house. When taken to his friend's house, or his campus, it never crashes.
Are you operating the computer when it's on location? I am just trying to deter whether the problem is actually a cause of the environment or not.
Yes. I usually operate my computer in my house. And that's where it usually go crashing. When I tried to change the location, but still in my house... it still crashes. But there's no problem if I use my laptop at home. No crashes at all.
Let's check the Event Viewer for clues. Control Panel > Adminstrative Tools > Event Viewer. Post all error and warning messages in the System, Application and Security sections
when u take it over to ur frends house, do u change any hardware? like the monitor, keyboard, mouse? or do u take the whole stuff to ur frends home? do u also use ur frends cables ? let us know of any change u do when u take it over even if its a minor one... hmmm...maybe a voltage problem... try running it in safe mode n see if it crashes
He only carries the CPU, that's all. He left the monitor, keyboard at home. But I've tried changing monitor, keyboard etc at home, and still crashes.
i think its the cables for the monitor/keyboard/mouse..... ok try this..take the pc (as it is in your home rite now including your monitor n keyboard n its cables) over to ur frends home n start the pc there.. n i mean take everything. dnt change any cables or the monitor or watever... then let us know whats the mystery about ? does it still work or crashes?
