S.M.A.R.T Problem

    Hi Guys,

    When i started my system today i got a message

    "Pri Hard Disk:S.M.A.R.T status BAD, backup and Replace"
    Press F4 to to continue

    and 2 error codes...

    1. 007C
    2. 0085

    hard disk is 3 years old
    these are the details:-

    i booted my system after pressing F4 and ran Everest S.M.A.R.T test
    this is the report

    The only problem it has in S.M.A.R.T test report was

    05 Reallocated Sector Count 10 5 5 208 Pre-Failure: Imminent loss of data is being predicted

    how can i over come this problem i am not able to boot without pressing F4
    system also makes a beep before starting..is my hard disk really going to fail..is there no other option other than replacing the hard disk.

    i am a nOOb in Hardware i dont know what is "Reallocated Sector Count"

    please help me solve this problem:(

    replace your HDD or you could disable S.M.A.R.T. in the BIOS
    S.M.A.R.T. isn't kidding
    me neither[ot]i don't recommend disabling S.M.A.R.T. in the BIOS[/ot]

    BTW: backup your data ASAP

    i backed up data even before posting the problem here..

    i know i have to replace my hard disk..from the S.M.A.R.T message which i have got

    i was just curious if i could overcome or solve this problem..in any way
