    So, I upgraded to a Leadtek 7900GT.

When starting up the computer and on the main wallpaper, there are a couple curiously colored dots on the screen. Not a big deal except when I move a webpage browser around... the two dots leave a trail of other dots. So I can make lines of oddly-colored dots by moving my browser window around.

Furthermore, when playing Oblivion, there's some wierd pink/green/whatever colors that show up... like "seams" in the world.

If I put in my old EVGA 7600GT, I don't have this problem.

This 7900GT was an open box product from NewEgg, but I'm really hoping it's not defective... I *am* using the same drivers for both products, but I'm supposed to, right?

Specifically I'm using the 93.71 Forceware drivers.
    93.71_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql.exe

Right now I'm downloading the 93.81 drivers from the Leadtek site... and really hoping that I was just a moron with the wrong drivers.

    Thanks for any help...

Unfortunately, upgrading to the 93.81 drivers provide no relief.

As long as the driver supports both cards, it's not a problem. To me, it looks like it is defective, so you have an option: send it back to Newegg and get a replacement while their warranty is still good, or look to deal with Leadtek.

Yeah, it is looking like a card problem, at least according to other similar problems on the 'net. Thanks.
