I cant change windows XP memory usage to "programs".

    I am trying to change it to programs. Windows XP askes for a restart, but after the restart it is back to system cache :(. How do i change it to programs and get it to stay there after the restart?

    If you select Programs, does the button Apply lit up? If so then try to click on Apply and then OK.

    Yes, it does. It then askes for a restart, but after i restart its back to system cache.

    Try and see if you can change it in Safe MODE

    When i go into safe mode it is set to programs. But when i restart into normal mode it is back to system cache.

    Tried that, all i got was one reply suggesting that a software might be doing it.

    If thats the case the look which programs are starting on the PCs startup. Try and stop one by one and see if it tells you which program is doing it :unsure:
