Graphic card selection

Hi everyone,

I need to buy a graphic card for my PC with the spec below:

Motherboard: MATSONIC MS9158 1.0
Processor: 2.40 GHz Intel Pentium 4
Memory: 256 MB DDR2

Can anyone suggest the best graphic card for this spec?

i can't find your mobo, presumably it's a PCIe grafx card you want an AGP card ?

Can i know wat the different between PCI and AGP? and also why is the price so different? The main thing i wanna buy the card is for playing games and later want to change to LCD Monitor..

Now only i understand the different. thanks to you. But now the problem arises. My motherboard accept only 4 x AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) Slot but in market nowdays they only selling 8 x AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) Slot. Can my motherboard support the 8 x AGP in 4 x AGP Slot??? If not what else i can do? My motherboard supports:

32-bit PCI interface (2 Slot)
4 x AGP ( 1 Slot )
CNR (1 Slot)

Yup. AGP 8x is backwards compatible with AGP 4x. Basically, you should be able to use most AGP cards that you can find.

Now, as far as which card, that's to be determined by your usage. So, what are you doing or want to do with this system?

 

I was not aware they made a DDR2 compatible 4x AGP mainboard, I think you need an entire overhull of that system depending on what you do with it.
