Hey there, just formatted my comp to try and fix a monitor problem (it didn't work), but now I've done it Windows is not recognising my DVD drive. I never had problems with it before and now its got an exclamation in the hardware manager saying the drivers are incorrect. I downloaded the proper drivers (the model number is SHW-1635s) but it says I don't have the correct drive for the drivers to work (the ones from Lite-on). It shows up in my bios and has worked before without any problems. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, perhaps a link to some generic dvd-rw drivers? Also I have x64, perhaps that has osmething to do with it? Cheers now!

you could try going to device manager, selecting to uninstall it and then using add new hardware to look for the hardware or installing the downloaded drivers.
