Firstly, how can I take an avi video file which I recorded and chop off the end of it? In other words, I want to delete parts of the video. Second, how do I make the playback at the same speed as it was filmed? Does it do that automatically? Someone else told me that the playback isn't necessarily at the same rate. For example, the camera may have filmed at about 50 frames per second but when you play the file, it might play at, say, 20 frames per second. Is this true? I thought any video file you record automatically "knows" (like it's encrypted in the file or something) what the proper "real time" speed is somehow, so that when any media player plays the video, it will always play at the exact same speed as the filmed events happened in real life. But this guy tells me that's not necessarily true ... so what's the truth?? Thanks
No one knows the answer to my question #2? Let me rephrase to make it shorter: if I record a video, and then play it in a media player, will it always play at exactly the same speed as how it happened in real life? I need to be able to measure the speed of an event happening in a video, and for that I need to know the change/unit time, so everything has to be pretty precise. It's for a research project.
I guess Subashuali will be the best person in regards to this query of urs... He is the man when it comes to Videos.
