    Welcome to HWF :)

Unfortunately you'll need a 64-bit CPU. One of those CPUs is the AMD Athlon 64.

    Hi,

There is no need to install 64 bit Windows OS on your system. It hasn't advantage yet vs 32 bit system.

64 bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with processor, chipset, OS, BIOS, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel 64bit architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32bit operation) without an Intel 64 bit architerture-enabled BIOS.

EDIT: sorry for wrong answer. Your CPU does support 64 bit architecture. Core duo - 32 bit; Core 2 Duo - 64 bit.
