Recently I had to reinstall my windows xp and I cannot get my 7900gs drivers to install. I have tried the forceware drivers 77.77 and 93.91 and both give an error saying "The nvidia setup program could not locate and drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit".

I have tried completley uninstalling all drivers and then trying to install the forceware drivers listed above but I can't get anything.

My only idea is that I need to install some motherboard driver but the asrock website is down or something and I cannot find the cd I got with the motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thx

I have one Asrock motherboard with my older computer. Gimme your model number, i'll see if I have drivers compatible with that.
Also check BIOS. Make sure your VGA settings are set to AGP or PCI-E, wherever u have plugged your card in.

Yes NGO or Omega drivers are recommended.

I figured out the problem, it was just that my dvd drive was messed up, so I found my old cd drive, plugged it in and installed drivers.

Thanks for the help, now to just figure out whats up with my dvd drive.
