That is a picture of my computer. The port part (with my usb mouse and keyboards ports on) is broken. I have been told this is a part of my motherboard. Will i have to buy a new motherboard to fix it? I tryed installing a PCI USB Hub, but as i could not access the desktop, i could not install the drivers.

    -Thanks, Jargs

are you using a USB keyboard ?, to enable a USB keyboard to work in Win you have to enable USB legagy support in the BIOS, enable legacy support & try the PCI hub again

BTW: exactly which part is broken, is it the onboard USB ports or the PS/2 ports ?

woow easy dudes, buying a new cordless usb keyboard and mouse set will be easier and useful

if your case got front usb ports, just buy the desktop set (i fully recommend logitech on set packs) and connect the receiver onto the header

continue your surfing after that :D

Just for clarification: are just the USB ports defective or the PS/2 ports as well? Most USB mice and keyboards come with a USB to PS/2 adapter that you could use in the short term.
For the PCI card, make sure it's firmly installed in the PCI slot. If it helps, pull it out and then re-insert it into the slot.
