Overclocking 1800+

    I have an AMD athlon xp 1800+ processor 512mb of ram running xp pro sp2
    Geforce FX 5500 graphics card with a MSI k7T Turbo2 mother board, I know old school i'm going to get rid of it but I want to overclock the processor, please help.

    Assuming your RAM and cooling can handle the increased speed and heat, go into the BIOS and increase the FSB a few MHz at a time, while checking temperatures. Find the limit, and then go just a bit below it.

    What's the model of your AMD Athlon XP?

    If you have Thoroughbred model, you can reach ~1,8 Ghz without any problems. By raising voltage - even more.
