However once i have boot the computer that is fine for me to keep restaring it. Can anyone suggest what is the problem with my PC? Thanks guyz for your help
Tr increasing the ram voltage as might be too low (you should find the option in BIOS). or you could try removing one of the RAM sticks and see if you have better luck trying to boot.
Hi sniper May i know how much Voltage should i increase to or can i just set it to auto? may i also ask why you suggest me to just use 1 stick of ram instead of 2? is it that you suspect one of the stick of ram is defect? thanks
i have set the voltage to 1.850 should i set to 1.875? or even hgigher like 2v? My DDR2 RAM is KVR667D2N5/1G is there any software that i can run to check where any of my hardware is faulty? thanks
ah yes you can run [google]mem test[/google] to see if it shows errors, I'd go over step by step with the voltage.
Hi Sniper Can you tell me how to use the memtest? do you actually refer to the memtest86? thanks for your help
yes memtest86, you need to download the ISO file from the site, burn it on a cd, then set you computer to boot from cd-rom (in BIOS), now when the computer boots you will get some options to do a memory test.
