    Hi!

Recently I got this (see Thread title) laptop, but w/o a power adapter. So, question: do I have to dig up used adapters for this model or any other ThinkPad will do? OR some universal AC/DC adapter? Thanks!

    UPDATE:

found a IBM ac/dc adapter. worked. Unfortunately, the laptop turned out to have a dead battery pack and a dead CMOS battery. So, the POST test would fail and throw me right away into the IBM setup utility. Once, I actually managed to get past the POST, but then suddently a cutting-high noise came out of the speakers and I understood that the laptop was waste. The HDD seems to be okay.

Some good news and some not so good news.

Good news - there are some suppliers (UK based) on EBay who supply keenly priced power supplies for leading machines. I bought a couple last year for two Acers and they're still working.

Not so good news - don't have the details anymore on my Ebay a/c as it was so long ago.
