Hi, I recently bought a Cosonic 868 headset witha microphone on the side. I just plugged in and everything worked fine, I use TeamSpeak to chat with my buddies. But then after about 2 hours the micrphone stopped working. There is no driver for the product and it doesnt appear on any device list, even in the sounds and audio devices. I am using an old microphone but it has loads of background noise so I have been trying to fix this all day. Anybody got advice?
Is there by chance a mute selection on an in-line volume control? On the actual headset cord... If not, go to start, run, sndvol32 Options, properties, then click the recording radio button. Check all the boxes, hit OK. Go to Options, make sure advanced controls is checked. Make sure that the checkbox under microphone is selected. If there's an advanced button, click it, and be sure the +20dB boost is checked.
I am using same cosonic 868 headset with microphone for rhubcom's appliance for over an year..and its working fine for over an year man..
I think it was to do with the sounds and audio devices being set to the wrong input, but I exchanged the product months ago.
