I think this should work properly just wanting to make sure. Also should i need more than the 300W power supply for this setup and if so isnt this an ATX case\mobo? Thanks in advance
yes it will work, however, the HDD is a SATA2 but the motherboard only supports SATA1 but it will work as SATA2 is backward compatible with SATA1, but it will only work @ the speed of SATA1 as for the PSU, wattage means nothing, as some "so called" (crap) 500W PSUs output less power than a decent branded 300W PSUs wattage only matters if you are referring to a decent branded PSU, however, personally i have an Antec TP Trio 550 most crap PSUs usually only have 1 12V+ power rails, my PSU has 3 (hence the Trio, for a list of good and bad PSUs brands look at Bs PSU Sticky Edit: the Austin PSU can only output 280W & it comes with the case so it's probably generic crap & i've never heard of them, but i'm across the pond in the UK Edit yes it is ATX
Yap, stocky generic PSU. Never heard of em over here although there are newcommers all the time like NZXT who make a decent psu.
Yes, normaly you can run SATA2 HDD on SATA adapter - but there are some HDD on the market and they don´t work togeather with some VIA chipset. Sorry, I don´t know it by now what kind of HDD that was or what kind of chipset but maybe you have to ask befor you get on.
all sata hdd work with all sata mobos but some of them are such a disaster that they even check for the slot if you install the hdd on slot1 it won't work because the default is the slot0 etc. foolish things. but i wouldn't buy a via mobo anyway even if they pay me to take one.
