Hi guys I'm a n00b here! Ok, here's my problem. My PC recently died on me. I obtained what I was told was a 'recovery disc' which also came with a 'Utilities disc'. I would usually know what to do here....if it was self explanitary, but it isn't. I'm given all these options and programmes, none of which seem to do much really (a few options are for rebooting or recovery etc but still dont do much!). The system is Windows 2000. Any help would be appreciated, thanx!

Well, we'll need some specifics to get a better handle on the situation.

What died, specifically? Are you having a problem with Windows 2000 not loading? Does it come with any error messages? Can you describe what happened when the system 'died'?

Hi, the system wont load at all. We get a black screen with lots of writing on it (nothing specific as far as I can see....It just says "failed" at the bottom of screen). Windows wont load at all, and this happened suddenly and without any warning. I hope this info is what's needed. Thanx!

What may seem non-specific to you may be specific to some. Any and all info you can post would be helpfull to fixing your issue.
