So from the top. i'm a newbie to hardware so be gentle please..

I am trying to install a Sapphire Radeon 9550 AGP graphics card.

    I'm using an ASUS A7N266-VM rev.1.05
Bios rev ev 1005 (not sure what this means but might be useful?)

My motherboard has an NVIDEA GeForce 2 Integrated GPU which i have a driver installed for.

Right so, got the card, put it in the AGP slot, well seated, plug in my monitor cable and i got no signal. i'm not even sure my HD is spinning up because i get no bleeps and a "no signal" message from my monitor.

Removing the card and going into the bios i change the primary graphics whatchamajig to the AGP slot, plug it back in, still no joy.

i've tried pre-installing the driver for the Radeon and disabling the NVIDEA driver but that doesnt work either, running out of ideas.

    Welcome to HWF :)

Is the Radeon card detected in Windows (visible in device manager)?

Open device manager and right click your old integrated video device. disable it. restart with the vga/dvi in the 9550 and it should work.
