Just built a brand new pc complete with a 150Gb Raptor (WD1500ADFD). Problems soon followed once I had started installing the OS. First installing Windows Vista x64 Ultimate.....got stuck when expanding the files. Tried again.....no luck, then tried Windows XP SP2......stuck again. Changed over the 150Gb for my old 36Gb Raptor and this time not a problem. Once I had Vista going, I had copied to contents over onto the new drive, everything ran fine until a few hours later. Random slowdowns then quickly followed by lock ups, once restarted the pc would stay on IDE detection without change until I had turned the power off. After days of trying to get this thing working, can some one tell me If the drive is a bust or am I just missing something?
Ah well, I'll get onto overclockers and get my RMA number. Brand new aswell, got it a few days ago......something always go's wrong when I build a pc! Cheers! :chk:
