Restarting when choosing shutdown option

    Hi all,

    I am using windows 2000 professional with SP4 installed. Whenever i try to shutdown my system by choosing Shutdown, the system getting restarted. I am very much irritated.

    Pls give me a solution.

    Welcome to HWF :)

    Rightclick on My Computer and go to Properties. Go to Advanced. At the startup settings (completely at the bottom of the screen), go to Settings. Uncheck Restart The Computer and click on OK on both screens.
