Hard Drive problem!!!

    I have full hard drive but i dont know what went wrong, now my hard drive says that it is free, there are no files on it, i create new file on HD but after some seconds the file is lost and still th HD is empty.

    Any one knows what is the problem with my hard drive ??

    Check all connections to the harddrive (power cable and data cable) if these are correctly connected.

    This could also be caused by a bad data cable. Could you try a different data cable? (if it's an IDE drive, then it's a wide ribbon cable. If it's SATA, then it's a small red cable).

    Coldman, could you please supply more information like partition info, presumably you are using XP SP2 , have you tried to restore your system & how did you try & what was the result, waiting for more info.

    Ok i fixed the problem again with one software. The problem was caused from one virus, i just removed the virus and all the disk i fixed, but thanks to the software called Partition Doctor.

    Just exchange your harddisk from samsung shoppee. If, it is in gurantee period.. Its gurantee period is 5yrs from the time of bought...
