    Hey guys

I'm having a little trouble here with booting.
I brought a new power supply (Corsair VX 450W), and since then, every time I reset the computer (or turn it off and on), it will find my main HD (Western Digital WD800JD) but will not boot to it.
The boot sequence is set to boot from the HD first of all.
It will search the CD/DVD drives, stall for a moment, and go into the nVidia boot agent (my main board is an MSI K8N Neo Platinum), and finally ask for a system disk.
But if during reset, I press F11 and specifically choose to boot from a HD, it will boot properly into windows as normal.

    What could be causing this?
    How could I fix it?

Hmm i was thinking a porked windows install till you got to the 'I press F11 and specifically choose to boot from a HD, it will boot properly into windows as normal.' part. If you are absolutely sure you have set up the boot order correctly you could try resetting the BIOS (either by telling it to revert to the default values or by the Bios reset jumper - usually next to the motherboard battery)

Let us know if this gets you booting straight in.

    thanks i'll try that.
I was thinking the problem is because I also have an external HD connected via USB, maybe it takes it as the first option or something.
I'll check it out and get back to it.

    heh.
Yup. that was my problem, suddenly my external HD appeared as first priority.
I wonder what made it pop up.
    Thanks for the help anyway
