I'll try and keep this as short as i can.

I had a 40gig hard drive and managed to get my hands on some 80 gigs free of charge. I went ahead and ghosted the info from my 40gig drive onto an 80 gig drive creating a larger partition. Everythig worked fine on the new drive apart from my Norton's Anti-Virus.

Anyway to cut a long story short, after receiving support form Symantecs i went ahead and deleted some files they asked me to, and when it rebooted my computer would not boot up saying there was a file missing or corrupt in system32. I tried repairing the file but it would not even recognise windows being on the C:\, it only saw windows on the D:\ which in fact was a slave drive.

What i've now done is put the old hard drive back in and connected the 80 gig that was the master as a slave, and here's where i need some assitance.

There are some important emails stored within outlook on the 80 gig drive that i need to try and retrieve and put on to the old 40 gig drive if possible, but i'm unsure where they are normally stored on the drive.

I can live with losing everything else on the drive but i really need to retrieve the emails if possible.

Can anyone help me out here?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Just burn all important stuff to disk, them wipe the 80 hd and start fresh.
