Hey i have a 750GB maxtor onetouch external HDD.I got it for my bday to use with my ps3.For the ps3 to reconize it i had to format it to fat32.I formated it using swiss knife but now ive got a problem:(

The ps3 now reconizes it but it says ive only got 195GB.So i pluged it back into my laptop to see whats going on.i went into disc managment and it says there is 502.03GB of unallocated space.

So what is it i must do to get most of the 750GB to be reconized on the ps3???

    please Help

Create multiple partitions with FAT32. FAT32 has an upper limit on the size of the partitions it can be used on, since it's a very basic and pretty sucky file system. Unfortunately you're stuck with it since PS3/360 only support FAT32.

you need to create partition (s) by using the disc space management tools integrated into vista, but unfortunately i have never used vista, but, on XP you had to enable Administrative tools, either on the start menu or in control panel by right clicking the taskbar and selecting properties, beond that i can't remember, but, it's something like "View Administrative tools" in a listbox

hopefully you will figure it out on vista
