I have windows vista, the sleep mode doesnt seem to work, nor has it ever! ive had many formats but it still doesnt like sleep mode, i click SLEEP and it does numerious hdd clicking (reading) then the screen goes blank and everything stops, but nothing will shut down. revival of the system is impossible untill i press the hard reset button anyone kno wots going on here?
It's possible that the motherboard doesn't support Sleep, or you need to install the latest BIOS update. You can find the latest BIOS version on the website of the mobo manufacturer.
