    I have a PC with -
Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard (with Via chipset)
    Athlon 4000+ processor
    XFX Geforce 6800GT
    1Gb Ram

Since I can't get the 6800GT grfx card to work properly with this Mobo (supposedly known issue with chipset "sometimes") I'll need to buy another one. The Mobo only has AGP connector no PCIE which will severely limit my options nowadays ;+(

I saw a Radeon HD2600Pro clearanced for $79.99 (reg $150) how would this grfx card be? The computer has a tuner card (unknown vendor) and is running Windows XP Media Center.
Is this about the best I can hope to get nowadays?
(as I'm leery of losing money on restocking fees on any more Nvidias)
Is it at least comparable to the 6800GT?
Will it handle tuner card ok (in otherwords for pvr and other multimedia uses?)
    Is the cost OK?

As my other PC died again for the 2nd time in ~ 5 weeks (1st time Boot Drive died physically), 2nd time Windows XP corrupted so won't boot (on a new WD160 Gb HD) so I'm debating whether I should just give up on it and move over to this other PC I won 3 years ago (unfortunately, as is, found had grfx card issues I couldn't afford to fix then). The old PC has an FX5200 Cinema which probably wouldn't be worth putting in the newer PC nowadays (tho I don't play newest games, I'm more into retrogaming, however I would like to run a Future Pinball emulator which I suspect overtaxes this card (as I would think a 2.6GHz Mobo would be OK)
