    HI all,

Just ordered the Abit IP35 PRO MB from Newegg after reading all the reviews and surfing the various forums about the MB.

Not a hard core gamer, but have started to play Company of Hero's (barely on current PC), video editing, CAD w/3D rendering and will be OC'ng this rig.
I have seen the different processors listed in the sig's and have narrowed it down to:

    1st- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz
    2nd- Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
    3rd- Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz
    4th- ??

    with CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400), ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro, ARCTIC COOLING Accelero S2 . EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB . 1x WD Raptor 74gb , 4x WD SE16 500gb, existing case CM Stacker, NEC 3550A DVD r/rw

    TIA

Due to the nice LGA775 socket in your mobo, any of these will fit. I've currently got the Core 2 Duo E2180 LGA775 Conroe 2.00GHz, which isn't on your list but overclocks very nicely and is very economical!

Personally, I think that the Wolfdale is very expensive and the Conroe 1.86 GHz isn't powerful enough but it's up to you really, with what you want out of the system and how much your willing to spend.

I haven't used any quad core's yet (too pricey for me) so can't comment on that - sorry.
