I'm trying to get a sony device's software updated for vista. When I go to the site I'm asked for the cd-roms part number. I have the cd rom but can't see anything that this might refer to. What is a CD-rom part number?
    Can anyone help?

    Hi impotence.
    It's a Sony Handicam Dcr - TRV255E.
It came with a software disc for windows xp called picture package, which allows you to capture your video onto computer and then edit it and put it onto DVD. This wont work with vista so I'm trying to update the software via the sony downloads page.
    It asks for 3 things:
    The model number
The serial number of the handicam
    The cd-rom part number.
I just dont know what it means by 'cd-rom part number.' I've written everything that's written on the cd-rom in the box but nothing seems to work.
