Firmware - OTI 91X ATAPI CD ROM

    Help is appreciated.

    I installed the firmware upgrade from lenovo, on my IBM Thinkpad i1400 2611-412, and not my cd drive (internal) wont even open.

    Does anyone know where I can find the original firmware for this CD ROM?

    Welcome to HWF :)

    You could try to use the program LiveUpdate on Welcome to Liveupdate to update your firmware. Note that you CAN'T downgrade the firmware to an older version, so the original firmware won't help you with this, unfortunately.

    Another option would be to send your laptop out for repair, if it still has a warranty.
