Now im not very computer savvy, this is what i came up with from research and talking to a few computer techs. any suggestions would be apreciated. all im trying to do is play video games and download music/some movies. i think the processor and video card should be fine, but im worried the motherboard isnt good enough. thx for the help.
Alright, everything is good except, like you said, the motherboard. I really don't know how much you are willing to spend but you could try this: Newegg.com - ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards if that is in your budget, it is more expensive but a lot better for a gaming PC. P.S. You are not going to want a PSU built into your case, they are usually never reliable. Get a case without a power supply and buy one separately. You will be a lot more happy.
thx, i ended up going with an asus m3a and instead of the 800 mhz ram i got 1066mhz. 4 gigs of ram. so i think im happy with that. and i already ordered the case so maybe ill just get a diff power supply.
Alright, just make sure that you get a 64 bit operating system because 32 bit operating systems can only hold up to 3 gigs of RAM.
